Gudauri Ski Resort – Georgia’s largest and most modern resort.
Gudauri Ski Resort lies 120km(about 2 hours drive)north of Georgia’s capital Tbilisi, amongst Europe’s highest peaks in the Greater Caucusus Mountain Range. Gudauri is Georgia’s largest and most developed ski resort. Gudauri provides absolutely outstanding skiing and boarding on a serious mountain with modern lift infrastructure and a lively restaurant and après scene that is growing every year.
Gudauri’s ski area is situated on a south facing plateau which guarantees maximum sun exposure, absolutely sensational for those bluebird days! This has meant Gudauri is now becoming increasingly popular with international skiers and boarders who want to experience the long skiable vertical(over 1300 metres), easy access to incredible backcountry and endless powder opportunities as well as Europe’s cheapest lift tickets. This is all coupled with the fact there is next to no queuing for lifts. Almost unheard of in many of Europe’s resorts!
All levels of skiers can find exceptional opportunities due to it being such a well-rounded mountain for beginners, intermediates and expert skiers. For the more extreme skiers the resort has unlimited freeride possibilities and some of the best heli-skiing opportunities in Europe.
The average snow depth on these slopes reaches 2.5 metres and the mountain is covered with an exceptional coat of snow for 4-5 months of the year from December to April.
Night skiing is also popular at the resort to ensure the ability to carve it up after the sun sets!
Come and experience the world’s fastest growing and most exciting ski destination before the rest of the world finds out!
